How to Move From AI POC to Production

A proof of concept is useful when success is defined before development. Production is a different problem.

Many organizations have already funded AI experiments. Fewer have a system that runs inside the business with permissions, evaluation, and support. The gap is rarely the model. It is integration, data, ownership, and the absence of a production operating model.

LVC can begin with discovery and a controlled proof of concept when the use case warrants it. Success criteria are defined before development: what “good” means, which data is in scope, and which risks require a human decision.

Moving beyond the proof means architecture. Enterprise data, retrieval, model choice, tool access, rules, and audit are designed together. Quality engineering covers AI and agent behavior, not only screens and APIs.

Go-live is not the finish line. Production AI needs monitoring, evaluation, cost awareness, and a path for improvement. That is how an experiment becomes a system the business can rely on.
